Location/Directions
The Conference will be held at:
La Peña Cultural Center

La Peña is located at 3105 Shattuck Avenue in south Berkeley, just two blocks from the Oakland border. We are three blocks south of Ashby Avenue and four blocks north of Alcatraz Avenue. The cross streets are Woolsey and Prince. We are next door to the Starry Plough.
From San Francisco & Peninsula:
Cross the Bay Bridge and take I-80 eastbound. Exit at Ashby Avenue. Follow Ashby Ave about 1.5 miles, then turn right on Shattuck Ave. and proceed three blocks to La Peña.
From the South Bay:
Take I-880 northbound to I-980 in Oakland. When I-980 turns into CA Highway 24 East, take the next exit: 51st Street/Martin Luther King. Stay in the right lanes of the off-ramp, and turn right onto 52nd Street, then immediately left onto Shattuck Ave. Proceed north one mile to La Peña
From Central Contra Costa:
Take CA Highway 24 westbound through the Caldecott Tunnel. Take Highway 13 North/Tunnel Rd. into Berkeley. Tunnel Rd. turns into Ashby Avenue. Follow Ashby to Shattuck Avenue and turn left on Shattuck. Proceed south 3 blocks to La Peña.
Public Transportation:
Bus: La Peña is served by AC Transit's #43 bus line, which stops at Shattuck and Woolsey sts.
BART: From San Francisco or the south, take the Richmond line. From the north, take Fremont or San Francisco line and exit at Ashby station. As you exit the turnstile, bear left and walk up the left side of the parking lot to the steps. From the top of the steps, near the corner of Tremont and Prince streets, head east one block on Prince to Shattuck. La Peña is located on the opposite side of Shattuck Avenue.
